Description

I have two more Pokemon fan characters.... ID
Fuzen the shiny Banette and Buki Mina the Gengar!
Fuzen's name means "sin" in Japanese, while Buki's full name means "spooky" when the space between "buki" and "mina" is removed.
Fuzen and Buki are 5'11" and 5'9" in their humanoid forms, respectively.

Buki Mina once had no friends at all, because she roamed countless nights on her own. She was often called "the loner" or "the weirdo", because she wears a shredded cloak.
One night, she found the abandoned mansion where a little girl and her family once lived. In the little girl's room was Fuzen, found sulking in a dark, moldy corner of the room.

He told Buki the story about how his child "abandoned" him before her untimely death and that he wanted to torment her spirit for that until the end of time. Buki scoffed at him, telling him that it was pointless and a huge waste of time and energy. After seeing that Fuzen had been living in that old house that whole time, she took his hand and showed him the outdoors.

Since then, they had become best buddies or partners-in-crime. They ransack peoples' houses to steal prized possessions, rob banks using possessed bodies of people, and occasionally haunt various houses. They are like regular neighborhood ghosts, except they aren't... >:3

Buki enjoys the fear of those she scares, while Fuzen enjoys the pain of stabbing himself with pins and sharp objects to lay stronger curses on others... Talk about a pair of creeps. >n>

A More In-depth Look at Buki:

Buki was once human before being a Gengar with the nickname "Buki Mina". While she was alive, her name was Satomi Blumenthal. She had the same personality traits she has now, minus the compulsion to smile all the time. She had medium-length black and slightly wavy hair with bangs that were sideswept so they didn't get in her eyes. She had light skin and olive green eyes. Her mother was Japanese, but she was raised in America with an English-speaking father. She spoke fluent English, and was only somewhat good at speaking Japanese (sometimes it sounded like Google Translate translating from English to Japanese).  She was a pretty lonely and introverted kid growing up, and would usually befriend those she could relate to the most.

At the beginning of her Freshman year of college, she befriended a few girls. While they weren't the kind of people who were completely the type of people in her comfort zone, she tried her best to be less of a loner. A few months passed by, and those girls grew tired of her. They used her mostly for minor errands and favors, and mild comedic relief (their sense of humor didn't even really match up with Satomi's, and they would sometimes use her cheap puns as an excuse to call her a pathetic comedian behind her back). Their deceit went as far as telling her to go buy them take-out at an expensive restaurant near the college campus only to run into trouble when the money they provided wasn't enough to pay for the meal. The look of disappointment on Satomi's face as she walked back out would send them into a fit of chortles.

Their laughter came to an abrupt end when a man who saw Satomi walk into that expensive restaurant mugged her for her money with a large knife when she walked back out. The man didn't believe the fact that it was all she had when she forked the cash over. He went ballistic and stabbed her repeatedly in the back when she tried to run away, calling her a liar as he went into an uncontrollable rage. When the police arrived, they found the body of a 20-year-old woman lying on the sidewalk with 9 stab wounds in her back.

A few weeks later, each of those girls went missing one by one. Investigators found that the dormitories their bodies were found in had an unusually cold temperature throughout the entire room. Their clothing would have precisely 9 tears around random parts of the back, but the skin appeared untouched. Their killer was never found.

Buki can be quite lazy and likes finding shortcuts for things. With her speech and mannerisms, she can be cocky and sarcastic—similar to Gary Oak from the Pokemon anime. Buki is also fond of making puns; she'd sometimes crack a few puns just to get a reaction out of Fuzen. She can also be quite sneaky, as she enjoys scaring people (like most ghost Pokemon do). She likes playing jokes on people, but it gets annoying to her if they take them seriously way too often (if said jokes are not meant to troll but just have a laugh; if she's trolling, then it only fuels the fire if they take it seriously).

As a Gengar, she enjoys smiling all the time. Emotions that require a facial expression that is the direct opposite of a smile can be seen as a minor to major inconvenience for her depending on the intensity of the emotion; in a nutshell, it can really bother her if someone or something actually makes her stop smiling altogether. This is only a mental inconvenience since she is physically capable of making faces that don't involve smiling.

A More In-depth Look at Fuzen:

Fuzen used to be a shiny Scyther that belonged to a "lucky" little girl in the Kalos region (her father ran a nursery, and someone who gave up on trying to breed a shiny Scyther let him have the last egg before leaving). Fuzen misbehaved frequently because of how young his trainer was (his pride just didn't let him accept the fact that his owner was 7), which earned him his nickname. If she lost any battles with him, he would be the one that took the blame instead of her. In reality, her poor strategy often resulted in losses. Fuzen would push himself to try and be the best he could be, but that was never enough. He was eventually convinced that his lack of victories was from lack of skill, and that was untrue.

When she was 9, the girl picked a fight with a member of Team Flare. The lady had a Delphox, and the little girl insisted that Fuzen could easily defeat him. The lady happily proved her wrong in a Pokemon battle. However, the Delphox kept using Fire Blast even after Fuzen's HP reached 0. The poor Scyther was burned alive and burned out of existence while his twisted opponent laughed and laughed as some of his ashes blew in the wind. He was even tempted to use Flamethrower on the little girl to show her what happens when crossing a member of Team Flare, but the lady stopped him and told him that the trauma of losing her Scyther would be enough of a lesson at the time. The little girl picked up a handful of Fuzen's remaining ashes out of shock before frantically running away.

She didn't want to put his ashes in an urn, so her parents gave her the materials to be more creative. She created a crudely-made doll that vaguely looked like a Scyther. It had a zipper for a mouth, which was how she filled its hollow body with ashes. The remaining space was filled with cotton she used from her own pillow before zipping the mouth back up.

A few months later, her family moved out of the Kalos region. Years later, the little girl grew up and stopped carrying dolls around wherever she went. However, her life was cut short; unlike leaving Fuzen behind, that wasn't a choice that she wanted to make.

Fuzen's tormented spirit was attached to that doll because his ashes were the only thing that remained after dying such a horrid death. He forgot what it was like to be a Scyther after being stuck in that doll body for so long. He wanted to escape and be free, but couldn't. He didn't understand why his trainer suddenly left him all alone after condemning him to that prison with fabric walls. When he forgot what being a Scyther was like, he also forgot how being proud felt; he forgot how having high self-esteem used to feel. He even forgot his own name...

...Until Buki came along to remind him of it. His name was written on the back of one of his legs in black ink, and she was familiar with the smudged Japanese characters that spelled it out. Over the years, the name eventually faded. That didn't matter since Buki would be by his side.

Fuzen gets startled by sudden things because of his unclean conscience from holding a grudge for so long. He's not too quick to trust people, and isn't exactly completely trustworthy himself (he can be a bit of a sketchy character, like the weird guy who frequently loiters in a dark alleyway). Once he gets to know someone better, he opens up a bit more and acts friendlier. His abandonment issues never went away upon starting a friendship with Buki—they're only hiding behind the scenes.

While he has an odd sense of humor, it's somewhat difficult to make him laugh only with cheesy puns. Buki likes to take advantage of this and observe his irritated reactions from hearing the occasionally half-assed pun. However, during times of sadness, he is grateful for Buki's attempts at improving the mood and will at least humor her with a little chuckle or two. It's the least she could do when he sometimes feels like things that used to be fun do nothing to make him happy at the moment.

Many years into their friendship, Buki and Fuzen became more than just friends. Fuzen admitted it first, and Buki admitted it after Fuzen told her he had feelings for her since she sort of developed them for him over the period of their friendship and didn't want to spill any beans yet until she could actually confirm that Fuzen felt the same way. However, since she had no way of milking the info out of him without the questions sounding out of place, she had to wait for time to tell. Fuzen, being the spirit trapped in a doll body, didn't find the task to be very daunting since he had gone through greater emotional troubles. The fear of abandonment still lingered over him like a dark cloud over his head, but he had to overcome that fear for just a few seconds to finally get his thoughts out there.

(Edit 5/6/2017:
- Added much more information to Buki and Fuzen's backstories. The old description was kept, but is seen as more of "tl;dr" text.
- Removed old "no shit, Sherlock" copyright sentences at the bottom of the description because I don't really do that anymore.)
