Count Your Blessings, Not the Sheep

Description

The "re-animated" version of Bailey Blacksheep is taller than she was supposed to be (this one is approximately 6 ft tall, while her cartoony self is slightly shorter than Bendy); the unusual tallness and runny ink is a definite sign that someone failed at successfully bringing her into this dimensional plane. She is more of a stalker than a hunter. All of the melted "wool"/ink in her face doesn't allow her to see too well, the thick ink on her melting wool dress slows her down, and she doesn't plan on pouncing on anyone in the first place. Her somewhat passive nature thwarts any urge to go after moving figures, so she rarely attacks when seen unless provoked. To remain quiet, she doesn't walk around very often because her beloved tap dancing shoes she wears over her hooves give her away when walking on a hard surface. Instead, she uses leaky ink pipes to make her way around the old workshop. If she really wants to be noticed, she won't even try to hide the sound of her footsteps. She is also drawn to the peculiar pentagrams found on walls and floor, so it would be wise to steer clear of those unless her attention is something you desire.

Another thing that gives her away if she's too close is her eerie breathing; her face is coated entirely in what used to be her wooly bangs, which covers up her nose and forces her to breathe through her mouth. Her external features aren't the only ones that appear to have lost the ability to remain solid; the walls of her throat have become somewhat unstable, and her breathing ends up sounding like a death rattle if she doesn't clear it for even 6 minutes. When she does clear her throat, she can cough up lots of ink and leave black splatters on clean and untouched walls.

Bailey missed the little sheep that followed her in the old cartoons and tried to make replicas of them. They ended up looking like abominable blobs of ink that tried to be friendly and fluffy sheep but failed miserably. "Sheep" probably wouldn't be such an accurate term for them anymore because of their appearance—"Followers" would be more appropriate. They follow Bailey around and are just as shy as she is. If they feel threatened, they hide behind the Bendy cut-outs with upside-down pentagrams behind them. If the cut-outs are destroyed, they lash out in self-defense at whatever destroyed their hiding place. If there's nowhere to go, they hide in plain sight as lumpy spherical globs of ink on the wall or floor and never attack unless stepped on. Those Followers are usually found near or on upside-down pentagrams. They have faces only a mother could love, and Bailey keeps them around because they were all she had until she heard a familiar voice singing in the distance: Sammy Lawrence.

(Spoilers for Chapter 2 up ahead.)

When she heard his voice, blurry memories of the past resurfaced, and she actually began to feel happy again. She'd hide in many places that he would not be able to easily spot her in just so she could listen to his voice. When a man with an axe began to traverse the area near them, she felt like he could be a threat to Sammy. While that man's face was vaguely familiar, it wasn't familiar enough to bring her comfort; little did she know that man was actually Henry, someone who used to work on the very cartoons she came from. When he was captured by Sammy, she was relieved and thought the threat would soon disappear. That was not the case, however. Henry managed to escape and all that was left of Sammy was his mask, an axe, and a puddle of ink.

Bailey waited for Henry to leave before busting the locked door down that led to where Sammy once stood. Any shred of happiness she had left was absolutely destroyed. She recalled him mentioning Bendy during the ritual, and put the pieces together. While she did not care whether or not Henry died, she knew that Bendy was going to go after new prey after Sammy was taken out of the equation. Right as Henry ran through a door to try and escape Bendy, it suddenly closed right behind him and somehow had a plank of wood preventing it from opening...

I was inspired by this Chapter 2 song.
The background sure was something... I tried to make it look as screenshot-accurate as possible! Oh, and this is the poster behind her, in case you're curious.
